If you’re having an issue with your diet where you ALWAYS feel hungry and are constantly looking for something else to munch on you probably need to eat more fiber. Fiber keeps you feeling full for longer periods of time. So if you’re trying to cut out some calories you may want to add some of the following to your life: whole grains, fruits & veggies, brown rice, beans, oatmeal & my favorite…popcorn!
I love me some popcorn. I always have a stash in the cabinet, it’s my go-to snack when I’m not really sure what I want but don’t want too many added calories. Every now and then when I get bored of the butter or tender white flavor I add a little cheese & some spices. I’ve even been known to eat popcorn for dinner — I know not the healthiest of meals. But not only does the fiber in popcorn keep you on track with your diet, it also has many other health benefits.
Beyond being an aid to your diet, fiber is also known to lower cholesterol, aid in digestion, maintain blood sugar, reduce the risk of diabetes, & improve heart health, among many others.
To add some fiber to your life, try this delicious & healthy popcorn recipe perfect for an afternoon snack…

1/4 t onion powder
